Most cable boxes are plastic and look like it. This one is woven rattan over a light wood frame, so it reads as a basket rather than an electrical accessory, and it does the same job: the power strip goes inside, the cables run out through the ends, and the knot of cords under the desk disappears.
Fits
Inside space is about 12 in long, 4.5 in wide and 4 in tall, which takes a standard 6-outlet strip or a surge protector with a few bulky adapters. Measure your strip before ordering if it has a large transformer plug.
Ventilation
Rattan weave is open by nature, so warm air from chargers escapes through the sides and lid. Do not stack anything on the lid that blocks the end openings.
Size
13 in long, 5.1 in wide, 5.1 in tall on the outside. Cable openings are about 1.5 in wide.
Material
Natural rattan strips woven by hand over a wood frame, with a fitted lift-off lid. Color is a light honey brown with the usual variation of a natural fiber.
Care
Keep it dry. Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Never soak rattan.
